Located above the mouth of the mighty Zambezi River, Zongoene Lodge is a bush and beach lodge combined into one. The stylish elegant design and superb setting are unrivalled in the area. Ideal for relaxing at the pool or on the beach Zongoene also offers a broad range of activities to keep more energetic guests entertained.

Rooms

The lodge complex has electricity and all chalets and public areas are equipped with overhead fans. All windows and sliding doors have protective mosquito netting. The pool chalets surround a large swimming pool whilst the family chalets are set back in lush indigenous garden. All are tastefully furnished and have en-suite bathrooms. The pool rooms have sliding doors which lead onto spacious balconies. The Dunes Camp can sleep up to fourteen people in five rustic chalets The Camp is self-catering and has a dining area, kitchen, braai, and swimming pool. The camp is fully serviced, with a butler on hand to help with food preparation. The Casarão consists of four en-suite bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen/dining area and an extended covered balcony. The Casarão is also self-catering and is fully serviced. Casa Madeira consists of two bedrooms sleeping 4 with a bathroom, kitchen/lounge/dining area and a balcony. The Casa Madeira is also fully serviced.

Facilities

Take time to explore the many deserted beaches, massive sand dunes, coastal forests and African villages on quad bikes, or on foot.Fishing is a popular activity at Zongoene. Guests have a choice of fihing the tidal estuary, the surf, the reefs, or the deep blue sea. Canoeing, birdwatching, diving, whale watching and river cruises are other optional activities offered at the lodge.
