LAZY LAGOON ISLAND
Location
Zanzibar Channel, Tanzania
Description
Lazy Lagoon lies in the Zanzibar Channel offshore from mainland Bagamoyo, which was once the capital of German East Africa and gateway to the Dark Continent. The resort boasts nine kilometres of pristine uninhabited sandy beaches. It is also a natural reserve habitat to many small mammals, mangrove trees and patches of indigenous forest. Lazy Lagoon is an idyllic Robinson Crusoe Island, the perfect way to start or end a safari.
Rooms
Lazy Lagoon has 12 beach bandas which each consist of a large airy bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a wide shaded veranda, and upstairs loft.
Facilities
Moon lit dinners on the beach, wonderful sunrises and sunsets, and the remote tranquil environment are just few reasons for spending a romantic few days on Lazy Lagoon. Relax under palm trees, enjoy drinks at the bar and three meals daily in the restaurant. Activities available include snorkelling, kayaking, walks, fishing, sunset dhow safaris or excursions to Bagamoyo on the mainland. |
