Description

The lodge is built in an eco-style with comfortable chalets and a large open plan dining and lounge area perfect tor relaxing. Life on Pemba revolves around the ocean tides, and as the day progresses you will witness the ever changing colors and shades of blue and green as the tide comes in and goes.

Rooms

All rooms are spacious with large four poster beds and mosquito nets. Overhead fans provide additional cooling. The en suite bathrooms have both hot and cold water showers, Italian ceramic tiled floors and walls. The patio has comfortable loungers to sit read and relax. A Garden room is set in the gardens, with a private makuti coconut hatch covered terrace and decorated with a cool all white finish. The "Barazza" lounger also acts as a third bed, and there is room to add a 4th bed, which makes it ideal for families. (4 rooms). The sea front rooms face directly over the ocean and are spacious enough to add a third bed on request (10 rooms). The honeymoon bungalow has a prime location and is uniquely furnished (1 room).

Facilities

There is a superb restaurant and bar where meals can be enjoyed. Manta Reef recently opened it’s “island spa offering a range of treatments including manicures and massages. Snorkelling and diving are the post popular activities at the lodge. The best snorkeling is at the entrance of the islands off western Pemba such as Njao and Fundu, and particularily Mesali Island .The coral is in excellent condition and colourful reef fish swarm around you as you explore. You can also snorkel right off the lodge in the house "Lagoon" at low tide. Dolphin sighting are common and it’s possible to hire boats or kayaks privately to do some of your own exploring. Deep sea fishing and island excursions can also be arranged.
