Situated in the arid Savute area of Chobe National Park, Savute Elephant Camp offers the wildlife enthusiast luxury in the midst of a bush setting. Regardless of the arid surroundings, Savute Elephant Camp offers spectacular game viewing opportunities. The camp has bird’s eye view of the water hole from the main lodge building where elephant and a wide range of wildlife come down daily to drink.

Rooms

Savute Elephant Camp is built in a classic safari camp style. The luxury tents are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and are shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The tent interiors are luxurious with four poster beds complete with mosquito netting, as well as air conditioning. There’s a spacious en suite bathroom, and a fully stocked mini bar. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a romantic dinner in complete privacy.

Facilities

The lodge offers a range of daily game viewing activities including bush walks and game drives with experienced trackers and rangers. Due to National Park regulations night drives and walks are not allowed but the day time sightings should more than make up for this. In between activities you can relax in the covered lounge are or on the deck of your luxury tent. Delicious meals are served three times daily in the covered dining area or around the camp fire.
