Description

Eagle Island Camp is located on Xaxaba island and is one of the Delta's most pristine natural locations. The area consists of numerous waterways, palm-tree covered islands and vast flood plains. Surrounded by Illala Palms, Eagle Island Camp overlooks a tranquil lagoon which is fed by the waterways of the Delta. The birdlife and wildlife is prolific and the camp provides guests with a setting perfect for enjoying all of the Okavango Delta’s sights and sounds.

Rooms

The rooms are built in classic safari camp style and have excellent views over the Delta. The luxury tents are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and are shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The tent interiors are luxurious with four poster beds complete with mosquito netting, as well as air conditioning. There’s a spacious en suite bathroom, and a fully stocked mini bar. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a romantic dinner in complete privacy.

Facilities

The lodge offers a range of daily game viewing activities including bush walks, mekoro excursions and game drives with experienced trackers and rangers. In between activities you can relax in the lounge area or enjoy a drink at reputedly the world’s most romantic bar. Delicious meals are served three times daily in the covered dining area or around the camp fire.
