Description

Situated on the outskirts of a fig tree and lead wood forest, the lodge overlooks the vast Khwai River floodplains. Located in the heart of the historic Moremi Reserve, Khwai River Lodge is renowned for its large concentrations of mammals and it’s not unusual to see many different types of wildlife from the comfort of your own private deck. The lodge has been rated as one of the best areas in Botswana for wildlife viewing and sightings of Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dogs are common. Birding enthusiasts will be pleased with the abundance of wildfowl and raptors near the lodge.

Rooms

Khwai River Lodge is designed to blend into the surrounding environment. The luxury tents are housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views, and are shaded by a traditional African thatch roof. The tent interiors are luxurious with four poster beds complete with mosquito netting, as well as air conditioning. There’s a spacious en suite bathroom, and a fully stocked mini bar. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a romantic dinner in complete privacy.

Facilities

The lodge offers a range of daily game viewing activities including bush walks and game drives with experienced trackers and rangers. In between activities you can relax in the covered lounge are or on the deck of your luxury tent. Delicious meals are served three times daily in the covered dining area or around the camp fire.
