Introduction
Adjacent to the world renown Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Reserve is arguably the finest location for quality sightings of big game in South Africa. Now, for the first time, a privileged few will get to experience this remarkable piece of bushveld on foot whilst staying at top luxury bush lodges. The walks are strongly focused towards tracking and finding big game on foot. As you follow your guide into the bush, your sense instantly becomes heightened, you feel connected with the surrounding environment and you savour the excitement of encounters with wildlife first hand. These walks are about enjoying nature up close and personal, unhurried and undisturbed. Distances covered are not huge and you rarely carry more than a camera, water and your binoculars. Your luggage will be waiting for you in your luxury room as you arrive at the next lodge in time for a sumptuous lunch and a well earned afternoon siesta.Late each afternoon you get to experience and open-vehicle safari, followed by sundowners and a spotlight assisted night drive before returning to the lodge for dinner under the stars.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Sunday
Arrive and check in at Sabi Sabi by 12h00. Once settled in your room return to the dining area to meet you ranger and enjoy a relaxed lunch. The guide will brief you on the walking safari and answer any questions that you may have. At 4 o’clock tea will be served, followed by two hour game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Day 2 - Monday
Your wake up call is at 05h00, followed by tea and rusks. Make sure that you are warmly dressed as you head our in to the bush for your first leg of the safari. Your guide will lead you as you track and get close to the wildlife. At approximately 09h00 you will arrive at a small enclosure and be served a delicious breakfast in the bush. Once sated you continue on your walk through the bush reaching Lion Sands River Lodge shortly after midday. Once at the lodge you will have the opportunity to freshen up and enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch you will have some free time to ensure a siesta before departing on your evening game drive. Dinner is at Lion Sands River Lodge.
Day 3 - Tuesday
A 05h00 wake up call once again with coffee and rusks before heading out along the Sabi River to track down buffalo and elephant. Following an exciting morning walk you’ll enjoy a bush breakfast. The rest of the morning you will meander through the bush making your way to Kirkmans Camp. Lunch and dinner will be at Kirkmans Camp with a late afternoon game drive inbetween.
Day 4 - Wednesday
Now used to the early morning starts, you head out northwards along the dry river bed in the
Kirkman’s Camp consession. A hearty bush breakfast will keep you going as you continue on to your
next overnight stop which is Savannah Lodge. Lunch, dinner and a game drive can be enjoyed at the
lodge.
Day 5 – Thursday
A 05h00 start takes you out through wide open savannah grasslands with a good possibility of
Rhino sightings. Breakfast is enjoyed al fresco and the rest of the morning’s walk takes you to
Dulini Lodge. There is a pool in which to cool down in and the afternoon game drive departs after
tea which is served at 16h00. Lunch and dinner will also be enjoyed at the lodge.
Day 6 – Friday
This, your last morning there is an option to sleep in or join the guide for one last
morning of bush explorations. Breakfast will be served at Dulini Lodge. Check out is at
11h00. Transfers back to Sabi Sabi or to the airport can be arranged on request.
