Introduction

Located between Swakopmund and Osakos in Namibia, the uniquely contoured Spitzkoppe offer some challenging and thoroughly enjoyable rock climbing. The granite massif which is part of the Erongo mountain range is thought to have been formed over a hundred million years ago when an extinct volcano collapsed exposing the volcanic rock beneath. Erosion has since carved some interesting shapes from the rock creating a unique desert landscape and a great climbing playground!

Highlights

  • Enjoy some of Africa’s best granite crags
  • Take in the desert scenery from the Spitzkoppe summits
  • Absolutely magic sunsets
