Introduction
There’s nothing quite like scaling a rock face whilst looking out over the deep blue Atlantic ocean. Climbing in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, Cape Town, you can enjoy a variety of climbs in different areas around the city, exploring some of Cape Town’s sights in between and relaxing on the beaches. From entry level to advanced grades the tour is tailored to your individual climbing abilities. For the experienced climber your tour culminates in an epic multi-pitch climb up the famous Table Mountain.

Sample Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrive in Cape Town. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your Guesthouse in Constantia where you will be staying for the next two nights. Once checked in take a short tour of the Constantia wine lands stopping in at several of the estates for some wine tasting. Over dinner you’ll have a chance to discuss your climbing experience and expectations with the guide so that you can maximize your climbing time in Cape Town.
Day 2:
After breakfast you will be collected from the guesthouse and drive to the Silvermine Reserve. Once checking all gear you’ll hike to the Main Crag. One of several climbing areas at Silvermine the main crag has some nice easy routes to warm up on. Enjoy a full day of climbing including a packed lunch. Returning to the guesthouse the evening is at leisure.
Day 3:
A morning collection once again, you return to Silvermine and walk in to the selected climbing area for the day. Moving beyond the main crag you can climb faulty towers, the lower crag or Blaze of glory. There are several routes on these crags ranging from intermediate to advanced. Once again enjoy a full day of climbing including a packed lunch. End the day by heading down to Peddlars on the bend for drinks and dinner.
Day 4:
A more leisurely day, you can sleep in or relax at the pool side for the morning. Check out around 11 and drive to Boyes Drive where you will hike up to the Muizenberg Crags. After a leisurely afternoon of climbing drive down to Kalk Bay where you will check into your guesthouse for your overnight stay. Dinner can be enjoyed at the infamous Olympia café. A rustic style restaurant located on the beachfront, Olympia has a superb and ever changing menu.
Day 5:
A full day of leisure and sightseeing. Enjoy breakfast at the guesthouse and have the morning to explore the sights of Kalk Bay. Check out at 11 and drive to Simonstown, the small Naval village near Cape Point. You have the option on going on a sea kayaking excursion to Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony. Alternatively you can enjoy lunch at one of the harbour restaurants. Continue on to Cape Point nature reserve where you can hike up to the lighthouse. End the day with a drive along the Atlantic coast along the famous Chapman’s Peak drive. If time allows enjoy sundowners on Llududno Beach before heading to your guesthouse in Camps bay where you will be staying for the next three nights.
Day 6:
Having enjoyed a day of rest, you now have an early start and head out for Table Mountain. The walk up is steep and will take one to two hours depending on your fitness. Once at Africa Ledge you can select your climbing routes and enjoy a full day of multi-pitch climbing. A packed lunch will be provided. The evening is at leisure and dinner can be enjoyed at any one of Camps bay’s trendy restaurants.
Day 7:
Today takes you back to Table Mountain to climb more of the epic routes. It’s recommended that you climb the Fountain Ledge or Staircase ledge area as there are some fantastic routes there. End the day with sundowners on top of Table Mountain and take the cable way back down. The evening is at leisure.
Day 8:
After two tiring days of climbing you get to rest once again. Following a leisurely breakfast you can take a drive down to the V&A Waterfront and take an optional tour around the harbour or out to Robben Island. Enjoy lunch at one of the many Waterfront restaurants. The tour ends with a transfer back to the airport for your international flight home.
