Description
Based at a luxury lodge in the Botswana bushveld, enjoy game-viewing on horseback through various kinds of terrain, from semi-desert to savannah grasslands. Meet a local San community, and learn how they survive in Kalahari desert. You can also participate in their everyday activities getting to experience their music and culture. This is a relaxed five day trek that gives you ample opportunity to enjoy the animals, people and more remote parts of Botswana.

Sample Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in lodge either by charter plane or overland transfer from Maun. Unwind and watch game drinking at the waterhole in front of the lodge.
Day 2
After breakfast, meet the horses and select your mount for the duration of your stay. Then, riding out, meet the local San bushmen and join them on a “veld” food and medicinal use expedition. Learn how the San weave rope, find water-carrying plants and make fires. Relax back at lodge and enjoy the sunset.
Day 3
Take a day out to go game viewing on horseback. Ride through the Botswana bush, and lunch at a pan. Move into the open savannah grasslands in the afternoon, before returning to the lodge and dinner under the stars.
Day 4
Explore a different terrain of silver terminalias and coffee bean bushes, and view the animals which live in this habitat. In the afternoon, ride out to a traditional San village near the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. View everyday activities, learn some games and crafts, and watch their cultural dances. Return home through the bush with San music in your ears.
Day 5
After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Maun.
