Sample Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Victoria Falls and transfer to your hotel where you’ll be staying overnight. Enjoy a sunset cruise above the falls. Your evening is at your leisure.

Day 2
After breakfast you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the rafting headquarters. Here you will receive a safety briefing before proceeding to the rafts. Once on the rafts you will receive further instruction on safety, paddling and how to ride the various rapids. Day one takes you through rapids #1 to #23 which include “Stairway to heaven” and “Oblivion” as well as many other thrilling grade II to V rapids. Your overnight camp is just below rapid #23.

Day 3
The second day of rafting is not quite as intense as the flat stretches between rapids become longer. Your first rapid is 'Open Season'. You then continue through 'The Narrows' and 'Chimamba', after which you stop for lunch. After lunch you head on down the river to our overnight campsite just beyond upper Mowemba.

Day 4
After breakfast, portage lower Mowemba before continuing along the river to the Dam site where you do your third and final portage for the day. After this you move on to our campsite located downstream on a beach in the gorge.

Day 5
Continue down stream to “Ghost Rider” then “Deep Throat” where you ghost the rafts through while having lunch. Raft through another section of narrows with short sharp drops, which are very exciting. You then conclude the day with the rapid "Asleep at the wheel" which is the last major rapid of the trip. Camp just downstream of “Asleep at the wheel”.

Day 6
After breakfast, continue by navigating through 'Asleep at the Wheel', 'Fish Eagle's Delight' and on to the take out point at Matetsi. From there you will be transported back to the Falls by road. The drive takes approximately 3 hours. Check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
