Description

This tour takes in all the major sights in Namibia with the added bonus of stunning aerial views as you transfer by air between the different destinations. The wide open pans of Etosha teeming with wildlife, the simplistic culture of the Nomadic Himba people, the high dunes of the Skeleton Coast and historic coastal town of Swakopmund. It’s the ultimate way to explore Namibia.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Windhoek, collect rental vehicle and drive to the Olive Grove Guesthouse for overnight accommodation.

Day 2:
After breakfast, depart from Windhoek and travel north where you’ll get your first experience of Namibia’s vast open desert plains. The drive takes approximately 6 hours excluding stops. Your overnight destination is Otjibamba lodge.

Day 3:
Spend the morning relaxing at the lodge. Midday depart for Etosha, where you will be spending the next three days game viewing. Accommodation will be at one of the three National Park Camps.

Day 6:
Depart from Etosha and. drive to Twyfelfontein Country House. Set in the heart of the Damaraland / Twyfelfontein area, here you will be able to enjoy walks and explore some of the area’s fascinating rock art.

Day 8:
From Twyfelfontein you travel west towards Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast. Upon reaching the coastline travel north to the Cape Cross Lodge where you’ll be staying overnight. The area is not only famous for the historic Diaz Style Cape Cross, but there is also a large seal colony which is a protected conservation site. Spend two nights at Cape Cross so that you have a full day to explore the area.

Day 10:
Departing from Cape Cross travel south to Swakopmund. Here you can explore the many historic buildings and enjoy stunning beach sunsets. Walvis Bay is a short drive away. There you can go on a dolphin or whale watching excursion and enjoy a tasty seafood meal.

Day 11:
Continuing down the coast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Namib Nauklauft Park down to Sossousvlei. The famous high dunes make a spectacular setting for your last two nights in the desert. Enjoy sundowners on the dunes, you may also see some game en route.

Day 13:
Leaving Soussousvlei, drive north back to Windhoek, arriving there late afternoon. Overnight at a guesthouse of your choice in Windhoek.

Day 14:
After breakfast deliver the rental vehicle at the airport and check in for your flight home.
